Never let anyone tell you this was unforeseeable. I was a teenager when DHS was created and I remember the memes (though we didn’t call them that yet) about “homeland security” being a Nazi term. Plenty of people knew at the time that DHS was a bad, dangerous, and unamerican idea.

Reuters looks at six incidents involving DHS agents, taking the DHS description of the incident and comparing it with the video and audio records. It finds that DHS accounts follow a prescribed pattern that bear little material resemblance to what actually transpired.
