I haven't had a chance to watch all of Pete Holmes' new special, but man, one thing I love about what I have seen is how much he laughs at his own stuff. It's absolutely rad to see folks enjoy and love and just *have fun* with their art.

Inexplicably woke up an hour and a half before my alarm (what the hell) *but* it meant that I had extra time to read and eat pie for breakfast, which was a wonderful little treat.

Kiddo drew me a cake for my birthday and made sure to clarify that “I know you’re 40 and not 4000, the lovehearts just look likes zeros,” an important detail.
