I was there. Totally peaceful. Music. People with kids in strollers. People walking their dogs. When we arrived at MDC, organizers quickly got everyone onto the sidewalk. With no warning, no order to disburse, flash bangs were thrown & tear gas fired. Ambulance was called for someone. #protest #LA

I was at the middle school's open house when Kelvin called. I put the phone on speaker so he could hear. His oldest was working the immigration club booth. So proud she uses her pain to help others. I'd hoped Kelvin would one day attend these with us. @marisakabas.bsky.social

I just spoke to Kelvin. He has glimpsed a plane and an officer has confirmed it is the one he will be on tomorrow.
