It’s been my lifelong dream to be a full-time comic artist, but I probably make a few bucks an hour from it. I’m miles from even getting minimum wage. So I do it when I can, a slow, but steady trickle. I wish things were different.

In a post completely free of self-pity, Cathy Malkasian says she’s leaving comics because of poor sales. This is something I can certainly relate to. In Cathy’s case, it kills me that someone this good can’t find an audience. I wish the world was a better place.

Good News/Bad News: I’ve done a pretty good job at some habitat restoration in my back yard.

My city is being invaded by my country.

I was there. Totally peaceful. Music. People with kids in strollers. People walking their dogs. When we arrived at MDC, organizers quickly got everyone onto the sidewalk. With no warning, no order to disburse, flash bangs were thrown & tear gas fired. Ambulance was called for someone. #protest #LA

I’m sad to say that Kelvin landed in El Salvador and was imprisoned. This is clearly uncharted territory for us. If anyone can help in getting him released, please reach out. We will continue to try to help him regardless of the odds of success and right now, those odds look terrible.

My adopted kids' birth father is likely going to be deported to El Salvador tomorrow. He served 9 years in prison for a robbery and was released in February only to be picked up by ICE. It is my opinion that he is a reformed and changed man and now runs the risk of heading to CECOT.

Congresswoman Friedman has been helping with a relative detained by ICE. To my surprise, her office has been doing what they can in a difficult situation. I always assumed members of Congress were aloof or too busy. Not this one.

I need a new GAS album.

I usually frown on swipes/homages in comics (or anything). However, as I was introducing a character in the new Kurdles book, things lined up in such a way that I couldn't resist referencing one of my favorite cartoonists. Can you guess who?
