Federal agents were prepared to use lethal-force against protesters during a demonstration on Jan. 31 in Downtown Los Angeles. This comes at a time when tensions between community members and federal authorities are high following the killings of Keith Porter, Renée Good, and Alex Pretti.

While covering a protest on Jan. 31 I came face-to-face with an LAPD officer that I exposed two years ago, after they were caught on video sucker punching a Black man who was detained in Watts. @lataco.bsky.social

Give them some $$$ if you can @lataco.bsky.social & @shoton35mm.bsky.social and the rest of the staff have been doing heroic work on a shoestring budget. Let’s see what we can do with actual resources
