The Rock is legit great in The Smashing Machine.

The Muppet Show sure did hit the spot.

WONDER MAN is straight up a great TV show. It’s a smart buddy comedy about Hollywood. It luxuriates in character and performance (Ben Kingsley is doing elite level work here). It feels more AppleTV (a la Shrinking) than MCU.

The whole idea of @dc.com K.O. is ridiculous. But it’s comic book ridiculous. When done right, comic book ridiculous can be SO fun. The third issue goes hard. It has at least 4 moments that absolutely SLAM. Full on bonkers superhero storytelling with a fist pumpin’ final page. 👊 I’m here for it.

REDCOAT is a really underrated comic book. Terrific detailed art by Bryan Hitch and fun premise. Has some early Valiant energy, specifically Archer & Armstrong and Timewalker vibes. I’ve enjoyed a lot of @ghostmachinepro.bsky.social books but this one’s a real standout.

RIP 2025 2025-2025

Upon reflection 2025 was a solid year for movies. My favs: One Battle After Another, Sinners, Marty Supreme, Weapons, Companion, Superman, The Naked Gun, Predator: Badlands Thunderbolts, Eddington and FF: First Steps.

MARTY SUPREME is another compelling and nerve wracking Safdie portrait of a schmuck trying to make it big. It’s a winner. Chalamet has never been better.

The more I see it, the more I dig RED ONE. It’s a tad overlong for sure, it’s goofy in places no doubt but damn if they don’t go for it. I like that it exists. I’m certain its fandom will grow over time.
