Wizard was looking forward to more #dccomics characters with lower profiles getting the star treatment in 2002, with a rumor that Firestorm would be returning in the pages of JLA. Plus, Geoff Johns teasing that 5 new team members for the JSA were on the horizon.

Grant Morrison was teasing more twists for the #xmen universe in 2002, plus Joe Casey was introducing the concept of X-Corps to the #marvelcomics universe with Banshee at the helm of this new, militaristic mutant organization.

In 2001 #marvelcomics EIC, Joe Quesada extended the olive branch to Alan Moore after years of the writer having bitter feelings towards the publisher. This led to rumors that Moore and Dave Gibbons might work on the Fantastic Four, also that Miracleman might be reprinted.

Wizard issue 125 was the 2002 preview issue and kicked off with a look at the most anticipated crossover event of the year (though it ended up being the following year) JLA/Avengers by Kurt Busiek and George Perez!
