Given my excitement for this new Marvel trading cards book that has been announced, I thought it would be appropriate to share this tribute to the first series of Marvel Universe cards that I made several years back, that hangs on the wall of my office.

During a Play-Doh session with my youngest I came up with an action figure prototype worthy of a drug store peg in 1989. What would you name this toy line?

This was the first KISS-member solo project I found in the wild at a random store while on vacation to visit my grandparents in 1997. My excitement in the moment was the first sign that I was becoming an obsessive fan of the band and it’s still a top to bottom favorite for me.

Picked up some classic sketch comedy on DVD from Goodwill this weekend. One has aged better than the other, but there’s still some timeless laughs to be had.

Finally got to watch M3GAN 2.0 tonight after missing it in theaters. I loved it. It’s like T2 is to the original The Terminator. So many fun twists, great action and lots of laughs. I don’t get why people were so disappointed. Super fun.

Continuing my plan to watch movies from 1986 in the month of their release, The Delta Force hit theaters on Valentine’s Day of that year and I’ve never seen it. So it has risen to the top of the list.

I’m always excited for a new CFC episode, but especially this one. I remember how much this movie blew my mind as a kid. “Evil Macaulay Culkin? Say it ain’t so!”

My wife saves the day again, bringing Boo Bot home, who is arguably the coolest of the new Changeables toys. Plus, he’s about the same size as the little Boo Bucket that came out a few months ago!

My wife and I made it a Freaky Friday last night (I had only seen the Jodie Foster version from the 70s). The 2003 flick was laugh out loud hilarious, the sequel was cute.

Picked up this cool VHS shaped Stranger Things playset for the decor at my son’s birthday party recently. I mean, how could I resist? 📼

I don’t care what anyone says, for my money, Jurassic Park III is still the best sequel in the franchise. Great dino action set pieces, a decent family drama and the return of Alan Grant. Joe Johnston does great work on this one.

My wife baked and decorated some pretty epic Stranger Things baked goods for my son’s party.

My son is throwing a #StrangerThings sleepover for his 13th birthday. So we created the Upside Down in our basement using all my vintage 80s items, which my wife “lovingly” refers to as “old crap” 😄

Loving fake bands the way I do, I was so psyched when this CD showed up in the mail today. Gonna give it a listen soon.

Picked up Cold Slither at the comic book store this week and immediately ordered the CD advertised on the back. Can’t wait to get the full experience of reading and listening to their rock n’ roll fury. #yojoe

I found it awesome that the retro arcade we visited today had a Fix It Felix Jr. machine sitting amongst the actual vintage arcade cabinets.

Did you say Retro Arcade? My youngest son has been waiting forever to experience a wonderland like this. He didn’t wanna leave!

So excited to be be in the same filming location from Last Action Hero where Jack Slater fell into the La Brea tar pits after escaping the mob funeral for Leo The Fart. Missing this would have been a BIG MISTAKE 😉

Most people wouldn’t care, but I have a soft spot for the live action The Flintstones movie and I remember seeing these Stone Age vehicles on the Universal Studios tram tour in the 90s.

Just met a true Hollywood hero. He didn’t care for my Ghostbusters hat, but we hugged it out 😄

For Day 2 at Universal Studios I’m representing my favorite Universal picture, The Shadow from 1994.

While walking around Universal Studios Hollywood today, I was sporting this shirt in honor of the dearly departed Beetlejuice’s Rockin’ Graveyard Revue. It was the favorite experience during my first visit to the park.

Went to Krusty Burger for lunch. There was so much “crazy crap on the walls”, I thought I was at Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag!

First stop at Universal Studios was Springfield! So many great details from the show and of course we had to grab a Lard Lad donut. Being deemed a Cold Fish at Moe’s Tavern was a dream come true.
