Just this week the Nats socials posted how they were putting people into work and Labour was gonna take your taxes and give to beneficiaries.

The managed to make welfare harder to get and still put more people on it by deliberately destroying the job market. This level of sabotage is actually hard to imagine and yet Nats achieve it every time they are in government because they never face any real consequences.

Looking at the homepage of all of our news organisations, you'd be excused to think that war is happening on a different planet, and its effects are limited to costly/inconvenient supply chain disruptions. It's like we're not living through history. (See also: muted, cowardly coverage of Gaza.)
