There should be a high bar for politicians attacking the media, but maybe Ed Davey has half a point here? For example, the first three paragraphs of this BBC story repeat Reform's £243bn figure without saying that the thinktank behind the estimate now disowns it. (This is mentioned in paragraph 35)

Complaint to the BBC

BBC News 6 o’clock news, 2nd top story is about ReformUK’s policy, as if it’s a real govt policy. Saying “this will…” If you tell people something often enough, it becomes normal. Once again, BBC needs to stop manifesting a Reform govt.

I find it extremely hypocritical that organisations, govt and even the Daily Fail “cut ties” with people known to correspond with Epstein (eg Sarah Ferguson, Peter Mandleson…), and yet they won’t denounce Epstein’s known friend, Donald Trump.

I have defended the BBC again and again. No more.

This is entirely right from Tony. You do not lead an argument against morally repugnant policy on the basis that it's impractical (even if it is: you save that for after the 'besides ...'). Unless you combat their values, you let them dictate what is acceptable.

Reform needs to be stopped before it destroys the British way of life. Farage is a businessman not a politician he hasn’t a clue how politics works as for some of his councillors there credentials are suspect..

No immigrant has ever sacked me, or cut my wages, or offshored my job, or closed my hospital, or stopped my mum's disability benefits, or crashed the economy. Those things were all done by white English men who went to Oxford and wore a nice suit.

This has to be a moment of reckoning. Broadcasters must focus on the practical consequences and make them clear. It would be utter, society altering chaos. That should dominate the approach, as it would coverage of any other party's policies.
