Wishing all at Southampton Boat Show a great time! ⛵️ I always enjoy watching the global boating community descend, contributing millions to our economy & putting us on the map. My priority is always more access to the water for communities, & I’m proud to have worked with others to ensure this.

Been inspired this week, watching on as the House voted to move closer to making Labour's Employment Rights Bill law, despite blocking attempts from the Tories 👎🏾 Lib Dems👎🏾 and Reform.👎🏾 Sorry not to be there in person, but me and my baby were cheering on from Southampton! 🌹💪🏾

This is the energy mix as reported by the National Grid today, with a whopping 74% of electricity coming from renewables and only 6.8% from fossil fuels. 💨⚡💚 For many in our city, me included, tackling the climate emergency is an absolute priority. Reassuring to see government work bearing fruit.

Stop the Sewage! Today’s report from the EA confirms what many of us in Southampton Test already know: water companies — and Southern Water in particular — are failing our communities and our environment. This cannot continue. I will keep fighting for the clean, safe water we all deserve.

Last week I visited Mansel Park Primary, part of Learning Federation Partnership of Schools, to meet pupil Reading Ambassadors. 📚 From raising thousands for charity, to holding quirky competitions, these children spend their time promoting a love of reading. I said I’ll do all I can to help! 💪🏾

On Armed Forces Day, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all who serve from Southampton and beyond. I pay tribute to you and your families for your sacrifices, to keep us safe and protect our freedoms.
