Update on this: The writing for actual rules is basically done. Once I add a few monsters and some locations I'll release the laid out demo version (cheap, but with community copies) so people can get it to their tables and playtest it. I'm genuinely excited, I think this is really special.

This is advancing quite well. Food buffs are one million times better than your base stats and cooking is like twice as complex and important as combat. No "real" equipment, just whatever you improvise out of monster parts. The Mage fucking explodes if their food is too salty.
