Rewatched GoldenEye for the first time in many years last night. It's no wonder I turned out how I did, when I was watching a Russian woman strangle a man to death with her thighs mid-coitus at ten years old.

I have had a copy of Gravity's Rainbow for twenty years. In 2022 I got about 180 pages in and gave up. I'm 200 pages in now and it's fucking my shit up. I will persevere because I can feel my brain expanding in real time.

Just finished Unto the Godless What Little Remains by @mariocoelho.bsky.social and aside from a banger of a title, the story itself is sharp, sad, and full of foreboding about the present and the future. Highly recommend. I devoured it like a rogue AI starved for meaning.

Inspirational reading for my next project is under way.

Hoping to finish the first novel I’ve ever written next week. Only five chapters left to revise. I don’t know if I’ll have any luck querying, and at this point I don’t care. The damn thing took me 15 years and I already can’t wait to start on the next one.
