It's become clear that this administration is just a protracted war on anybody who's read a book without pictures in it. It's a miracle we're all still getting up and going to work every morning. The psychological drain is the point, and I'm increasingly grateful to the people who are still decent.

it is so disheartening that a pseudoscience, anti-vax scammer is giving the keynote address of the NORD rare disease scientific symposium. tell me one thing that VP has done for rare diseases. he has shared harmful beliefs on the covid vaccine that actively harm many of the rare disease community.

I was honored to be an invited speaker at #RareDiseaseDay2025, but unfortunately the event was canceled due to ongoing issues within the agencies. Part of having a #RareDisease and being a scientist means adapting to challenges and being resilient, so I've recorded my talk for the public.

not the point of this account, but if you know me you know I love climbing, even when my bad connective tissue doesn’t. Today I had my best competition result yet! it’s easy to feel frustrated about my limitations but today I was able to showcase my best climbing! This is the hardest climb I did!

No adorable infants involved in my work, but I am really proud of what I've done so far and am excited for Dr. Xiao Wang's talk today at 1:30PM central at #ASGCT2025! I started our lab's work on PXE from the ground-up and have learned so much along the way.

Proud of my lab (especially my rockstar friend, Sarah Grandinette, who I am impressed got all this work done since I bother her so much at our respective benches 😂). It was amazing watching this story unfold in real-time. A true #RareDisease win, and we're just getting started.
