The CDC today confirmed 51 new measles cases in a nationwide outbreak that has now reached 1,893 infections. Only 9 infections are related to international travel. Read more:

This politicization of the CDC is exactly why we established the West Coast Health Alliance, and why I proposed legislation with our Insurance Commissioner to give Washington state decision-making authority on vaccine recommendations.
