Our in-laws gave us two huge bags of sloes so we made two bottles of sloe vodka (neither of us like gin) and I have a bunch left over. I'm thinking about this (after trying the free trial to make sure it works well with a Wacom tablet on Windows). It's a lot of money right, but I'm so ready to give Adobe the finger. The style of cover that I've done for ten years is out of style now, business is thin, and I need to change.

Setting aside everything else, it's actually really easy to live your life in a way that makes no one, not a single person, happy when you die.

Being estranged from most of my family is a lot, as is being an ocean away from everyone back home. I just found out that my younger sister died, and...so many complicated feelings, I'm having trouble processing. I feel as though I amputated most of my past and I'm adrift. I miss us and I'm so sad.

I think I've ruptured something I've been laughing so hard: I was playing with the cats when my husband came up the stairs humming Golden. Both cats froze, one bolted with a bottle-brush tail, and now (20 minutes later) they are still wary of him. I think his feelings are honestly hurt. 🤣

here's the thing, don't feel bad about enjoying this moment because if he is still alive, he is now watching literally the entirety of the english speaking globe celebrating and laughing at the thought of him dying, and THAT is worth it alone

We've been redoing our overlarge bathroom with a kind of dark academia/wonderland vibe: burgundy walls, copper ceiling, black trim, brass and copper things. It should be fun when we finish, but wow is it taking forever. I love planning things, but I hate the actual execution of them like crazy. :D
