We lost Douglas Adams 25 years ago today. This has made a lot of people very sad and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

The other great thing about comics (and prose), particularly creator-owned comics, is that it's the singular vision of one creator or a small creative team. I've never felt the need to compromise with prose and comics.

Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

Congrats Neil!! This is going to be a classic in comics studies and craft! Neil's research is on how understanding and reading comics (or sequential imagery) is a cognitive skill and process not unlike learning and reading a language. It's interesting stuff - worth a read for us working cartoonists
