I bought a new backpack for grocery hauling. I haul cans and glass jars (food allergies) and don't own a car, so a good backpack is kinda needed for the multiple km walks. I'd been second guessing my need until I carried home today's load. Even if it isn't perfect, it has got to be better....

An eloquent image: Setting aside the content under the tarp for a moment, teens were asked to make art expressing what it is like to be a teen, and the end result was a mural wrapped in a tarp by adults. I bet a lot of teens would find this expressive of their experience.

I started painting for the first time in months. My phone started ringing not thirty seconds after I put brush to canvas, trying to make a gradient. I hate Everything.

I am trying not to judge other people, as I do not know the context behind their actions or lack thereof. But know in my heart of hearts that I am very disappointed with some people right now, though I am not going to say as much out loud.

People pleasing is a reflex, not a "choice." Breaking that pattern is like breaking any other addiction: we need to assure the "part" of us driving it that it, we, will be safe if we don't do the thing we're feeling compelled to do. That it, we, won't be abandoned or punished.
