East Bay land use politics during the day, charging OB in the dawn
Seen on Gilman… traffic calming/cycle track cannot come sooner to this corridor. It’s a nightmare and always strewn with car debris.

Curious how much the risk of a transit death spiral is factoring into financing decisions for S.F. and the Bay Area.

Thanks everyone! As we requested, the proposal to pave Hopkins without bike or transit improvements was referred to Council’s infrastructure committee, which will hopefully modify it before it goes to full Council. More to come!

My email to Berkeley City Council's policy committee over the proposal to not have bike lanes with the Hopkins Street re-paving. It's worth remembering that despite the controversy, the majority of Hopkins Street area residents voted for the pro-bike lane measure in 2024.

My earnest advice to white guys with degrees who are struggling to make it in academia or journalism is that instead of blaming Black people you should consider pivoting to the public sector.
