I see that the US tops nominal expenditure but is it possible to obtain a PPP equivalent? My nominal salary as a PhD student is like above 30~40% above Korean median income but the quality of life in Korea is much better off simply because things are way more expensive even here in Michigan.

I kind of wonder how CAHSR could have gone if they connected LA and San Diego first. It's much shorter and the project would have been cheaper, and most of all, it perhaps could have been completed by now. Once people gain experience, subsequent expansion would have been way easier.

I understand these kids using genAI for doing HW because I was exactly that kind of kid back in med school. I have never read a single page from a textbook and only looked at past exam questions to crack down the answer without knowing any logic behind it. The machine only makes this eaiser.
