This convo I had highlights the difference in what "respect your time" means in games. A lot of players want to trade time for in-game progress. It's purely transactional: 1 hour = 1 progress But I want to feel like my actions matter i.e. what I do with time creates progress, not time itself.

If people want some of the things AI can do, have those technologies be provided by tools & platforms created by cooperatives, by unions, by universities and governments, by municipalities and by individual creators, or as open source owned by nobody. Destroy the economic value of proprietary tools.

Genuinely happy that the 7 year long development time was spent working at a leisurely pace, spending time with their families and flexing their creative muscles - with no pressure to expand their company, deliver sooner or read a single reddit post. Smartest people in our entire industry.
