I understand AI is egregiously trained on porn when it comes to rendering women's faces, but a fully clothed woman wearing makeup doesn't automatically signal "porn face" to me? And why are women's faces the example when men are also in porn? I hate it because it's AI slop, that's enough by itself.

Instead of giving up, I'm now looking into starting my own agency to provide social media, community management, and comms support / consultation to indie games and small businesses. I'm genuinely good at these things and helping indies succeed has always been one of my greatest passions.

AI can never surpass collective human intelligence, the very thing it needs to function, it can never create something truly unique and inspired, it can never give back more than it takes, lying about what AI is capable of won't protect companies like OpenAI from the inevitable AI bubble burst.

I think this cuts to why the game is so abrasive to me: it's a game about gambling and violence and paranoia and fuck-you-got-mine. It *is* a game reflective of its time. But it isn't commenting on any of that, it is simply amping up the ambient vibes. And I get enough of those right now.
