Police reacted to their embarrassment, reputational risk, and trust erosion. The entire focus of the OPP report is on the reputation of the police. There is no action to understand what happened, prevent reoccurrence, or address the harm. They discredited their own expert in the process. 4/

The police officers didn’t need to collude to lie. They lie as a systemic practice in police culture. Judges exposed the practice. Policing needs to shift their culture & address it. Policing culture doesn't embrace challenge, criticism, hard questions, equity & inclusion, or truth (to power). 3/
