Legally, Smith has 6 months to call it, and Rachel resigned Dec 30. Generally, the classy thing to do (by convention) is to get the Opposition Leader into the House right away. Instead, Smith is waiting as long as is legal. She did the same with Leth West byelection. No respect for the office.

Minister Loewen had previous financial interest in a hunter guide outfitting business which is now owned by his son. These outfits are benefitting financially from increased hunting, which is in keeping with the UCP's pattern of corruption to reap personal benefits across ministries.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.
