Judges have typical approval rates for warrants of above 98% (no exaggeration). Warrants can be obtained in as fast as 30 minutes for urgent matters. ICE's problem with judicial warrants isnt their delay, it's that they're lawless, lack probable cause, and judges may say no.

And yet the narrative of the war was ass backwards. The reality remains Ukraine can win the war. Indeed if the US remained firm, it would.

People need to understand what happened strategically in 2025. The US switched sides, helped Putin a great deal, which also encouraged the Chinese to help Putin. And Ukraine fought on, inflicting massive casualties on Russia and taking the war to the Russian economy. .

I've said this elsewhere, but Putin is single-handed sacrificing a successful Russian future for a successful Russian present—and he's going to end up with neither. Already the greatest geopolitical failure we've seen in decades, and maybe the greatest we'll see in our lifetimes.

All of this stupendous Russian failure has just turned into background noise—something that makes it difficult to see just what an incredible failure Moscow's offensive is, and Putin's leadership remains. And it's only going to get worse, worse, and worse for Russia if Putin remains in power.

Not a single strategic goal has been met. Russia's losing a Vietnam's worth of soldiers every few months. The economy is sprinting toward stagnation, while Moscow is turning more and more every month into a Chinese vassal—all while the Kremlin's allies topple elsewhere. Staggering historic failure.

I feel like we've all lost sight of the fact of the sheer magnitude of the failure of Putin's latest offensive, i.e. the one that began in 2024—mainly because it's been so baked into the day-to-day. Far and away the least successful offensive we've seen in not just years, but decades.
