Busy day in #VA11! I started my day at Oak Hill Day where folks got a chance to tour the historic Oak Hill in Braddock District and learn about the property’s history and enjoy music and other local activities.

Trump’s FCC is trying to cancel The View after celebrating Jimmy Kimmel’s takedown. This is a corrupt, unconstitutional assault on free speech. I’m demanding FCC Chair Brendan Carr resign & Congress subpoena him so he can explain his violations of his oath to the Constitution.

I’m still struck by what Alex Acosta displayed yesterday: a callous disregard for the survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes. He shielded Trump’s buddy with a sweet heart deal that allowed the abuse to continue. We’re not stopping until the truth comes out. Release the files.

Today we interviewed Alex Acosta, Trump’s former Labor Secretary and former U.S. Attorney. Despite overwhelming evidence, Acosta gave Trump’s pal Jeffrey Epstein a sweetheart plea deal that allowed Epstein to continue raping and abusing. We’re trying to figure out why.

House Republicans created a health care crisis—slashing Medicaid and raising health care costs. At Trump’s orders, they refuse to work with us. We’re here, ready to negotiate to lower costs. After jamming through their partisan bill, they left. If there’s a shutdown, they own it.

In a time when so much divides America, postal workers keep us united. With 72% of Americans trusting USPS, I’m proud to join the launch of the Congressional Postal Service Caucus to stand up for these essential workers and the service they provide.

In my first Oversight hearing, I called out the truth: as families face rising costs, Medicaid cuts, and a looming shutdown—while Trump hides the Epstein files—House Republicans are busy disenfranchising 700,000 D.C. residents to aid Trump’s power grab.

Big news: I’ve been appointed to the Oversight & Government Reform Committee. This is a huge win since it has a major role in issues that impact our community! On the Committee, I’ll fight for federal workers, push back on Trump’s DOGE cuts, & carry forward Gerry Connolly’s legacy.

Trump’s DOGE cuts to USAID & the State Dept — & his failure to implement democracy programs — has emboldened authoritarians. On #DemocracyDay, we’re reminded that leadership means fighting corruption & defending fundamental rights — not adoring dictators as Trump too often does.
