It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.

This reminds me of the old Christopher Hitchens quote about setting your watch and then waiting for a story like this to break. Granted, he was talking about bible thumpers caught engaging or trying to get gay sex from somewhere, but this also applies here

the constitution isn’t is a word game and the fact that you can abuse the language to produce an outcome does not mean the constitution allows that outcome. the 22nd amendment was ratified to restrict a president to two terms in office, period. that is what it does.

This is an absurd joke of a lawsuit that should be thrown out of court and every lawyer who had anything to do with the filing ought to be sanctioned by the Court and referred to the state bar for discipline.

This lawsuit is a blatant attempt to weaponize the legal system against those who dare to challenge Christian nationalism in government. Ryan Walters is not above the Constitution, and his actions prove why watchdog groups like FFRF are necessary now more than ever.

Special education and Trump: What parents and schools need to know
President Donald Trump has pledged to shutter the Department of Education but also promised that students with disabilities will keep getting the services they need. Special education advocates, school district officials and teachers say mass federal layoffs mean that too few people are left to carry out a complicated law intended to protect some of the nation's most vulnerable students' right to an education. The administration laid off nearly half the Education Department's staff and slashed its civil rights enforcement arm, and Trump says he wants to move special education programs to the Department of Health and Human Services — an agency that announced its own round of mass layoffs in March.
