There will not be a monolithic response from Venezuelans. Why would there be? Folks can acknowledge this while still speaking to the illegal regime change led by the fascist regime here in the U.S.

We can hold compassion for the range of emotions Venezuelans may be experiencing — including positive emotions — and also be clear that regime change by a fascist superpower is dangerous, destabilizing, and sets precedents that will not stop at Venezuela. Those aren’t contradictory positions.

Blows my mind that some of the same journalists who see Trump as a want-to-be dictator at home are earnestly discussing the "challenges" for this same man to "bring democracy" to a country it just illegal invaded. Please grow up.

Im in my late 40s, and im just flashing back to every ‘justified’ regime change and invasion for decades, every ‘weapons of mass destruction’ lie, every ‘evil communists’ trope bought and sold by politicians, journalists and people, and all the incredible suffering that followed

it turns out sleeping more, drinking more water, eating regular meals, walking the dog every day, spending more time with my family and being in a country where I have citizenship has been really good for my anxiety and lowering my stress levels

If your position is that regime change should be forced on countries where the president does not respect democratic norms and regularly kidnaps opponents using an officially sanctioned paramiliatary, have I got news for you about your position on the United States

Among the many reasons you don’t kidnap a foreign head of state at gunpoint even if you have the capability, is that it sparks consequences you can neither control nor anticipate.
