It was a hard day here in Chicago with ICE targeting a day care center.

This morning, ICE unlawfully kidnapped a day care worker in front of parents and children. We’re demanding accountability for every way that DHS is violating our rights, breaking the law, and acting with impunity. We must resist. WATCH.

Just so we are clear: ICE went into a day care center—a private business—without a judicial warrant, and unlawfully kidnapped a worker in front of parents and children.

A deal to reopen the government has to protect affordable health care for working people. PUNTO. The American people are tired of political theater; they want results. Democrats must continue to hold the line and meet the moment! Americans are demanding leadership and courage from ALL of us.

Support rapid response teams, mutual support organizations that our protecting our communities. Know your rights, and record ICE raids and abductions. We cannot normalize what is happening. We have to mobilize and speak out. 🧵

Rubén Torres Maldonado is coming home! An immigration judge has ruled to release Rubén on bond to be with his family as his daughter undergoes chemotherapy. The ruling is a win for our coalition and a testament to the power of solidarity. We will keep fighting for our neighbors!

Attention, #IL03! If you are currently enrolled in Child Care Affordability Program (CCAP), WIC, Medicaid, Early Intervention, and TANF, your benefits will not be impacted for the month of November 2025. These benefits will continue to be issued by the IL Department of Human Services.

Today’s politically motivated indictments of public officials and organizers are the latest example of Trump administration's disregard for our constitutional rights and the rule of law.

The Trump Administration can use funds to buy two luxury jets for Noem during their government shutdown but they can’t use emergency funding to feed hungry children. The hypocrisy. What they’re doing is cruel and unacceptable. They can and they must fund SNAP for November.

For the Trump Administration, it is not enough to deny food assistance to 42 million people. They also made sure food pantries would not have enough resources to support families. Millions of dollars in food from American farmers that could feed our families, wasted.

Last week, members of Congress and I hosted a roundtable with school administrators, teachers, parents, and community members to hear how ICE’s out of control tactics are terrorizing our communities. We will continue to fight back in Congress, in the courts, and in our communities!

So now, all of a sudden, Republicans care about “legal analysis”? Republicans were SILENT when Trump withheld funding Congress authorized. SILENT when he stole funds from democratic cities and states.

Unbelievable! Trump and Republicans just keep making the crisis worse for working people.

If we are truly committed to a long-lasting ceasefire, the U.S. must assert oversight of weapons of war. We must pass my Block the Bombs Act.

From the streets to Congress to the courts, we are fighting and winning. The courts have echoed my oversight demands and have ordered Bovino to produce a detailed report on the violence that Midway Blitz has caused in our communities. We must continue to demand oversight and accountability!

Since day one, ICE, DHS, Noem, and the whole Trump administration have obstructed Congressional oversight. Given their oaths, they should revisit the Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 18). Oversight is our Constitutional right and responsibility.

It’s been seven years since the antisemitic act of violence claimed 11 lives at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. We grieve with their families and loved ones. In their memory, we must continue to recommit ourselves to fighting antisemitism and all forms of hate.
