Human Rights Day reminds us of the foundational principle enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: ALL are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

Our neighbors, no matter their citizenship or immigration status, are being detained by DHS simply because of the color of their skin. Even after release, many live in fear. DHS is an unaccountable agency, terrorizing our communities and violating our Constitutional rights.

Illinois is leading the fights against Trump's campaign of terror. With new legislation championed by our fighters in the IL Legislature, we have designated safe locations from ICE and allowed Illinoisans to sue agents who violate our Constitutional rights.

Secretary Noem – under your leadership, DHS has violated the rights of the people, undermined due process, and caused irreversible harm to Americans. Before your supreme leader fires you, you can resign today.

Working families don’t have time to "relax." They have to choose health care coverage NOW, they have to pay their bills NOW, they need to bring food to the table NOW.
