This will cost a total of $15 billion so it's weird to blame the boogeyman of "big bike" for something that legally must be considered for a project that, by the way, will *double* car lanes. That pedestrian lane may not get used much, but drivers are never asked to defend infrastructure for cars.

#boston struggles with a great many things, its not short of great ideas, but we need to listen better. We need the courage to embrace change from housing, transit to education & how we design mixed use buildings & areas in our city.

My parents are aging out of their home in Western Mass and are becoming worse at driving...we have designed society so you can't get around without a car. Ain't no one saying logically that's a good design. That shits broken and we need to fix it 💯

THIS. My father was a lifelong biker but only drives now and I fear for the day when he ages out of his ability to drive When I asked him why he doesn't bike now he told me it was too dangerous bc of the traffic and the way people drive now, and he's right!

I know it's too much to read the words that many of us write, but what we are actually mad about are systems that force people into car dependency and policy choices that mean living somewhere walkable and bikeable with robust public transit is ridiculously expensive. We want to fix this!

Why do we not have a publicly available dashboard that shows how much revenue is generated each month by weed, mass save, millionaires tax etc...if we have an automated collection system shouldn't we in theory be able to have estimates at the end of each month available? Is this not automated?

Every stop sign we have in #boston should be accompanied by a speed hump - or raised intersection. There is absolutely no reason cars should not be forced to slow down or stop at a stop sign. ATM ppl run them more often than American runs on #dunkin.

I think about this a lot with regards to safe streets projects. It's true, there is often opposition, but I expect leaders to make decisions that will improve and even save lives. Especially when it comes to things that often prove popular upon implementation (e.g. congestion pricing).

A small but good example from work today about how accessibility accomodations for disabled folks can help everyone. One of our Deaf staff asked for blinds to be installed in a conference room, because in the afternoon the sun glare is bad and can impact her ability to see the ASL interpreter. 1/
