I mentioned getting caught up on Absolute Batman, but I forgot to say I did the same with Absolute Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter as well. All I can say is wow, these books have aura. I love this take on Diana especially. And Absolute Martian Manhunter is really refreshingly different.

One thing I'll say is that the series has already blown its load in terms of villains. Almost all of Batman's main rogues have already been shown or referenced, with many of them sharing origins. I think that will negatively affect the comic in the longterm, if it's going to continue indefinitely.

I started/caught up on Absolute Batman and it's way better than I thought it would be. Yeah, the visuals are edgy as hell, but they're just a backdrop to a fairly gripping story. I guess we'll see if I change my beat when that demonic ass Absolute Joker shows up.

Pleased to announce ROM's ass sculpt is as juicy as the picture entails. Why does a cyborg have a supple butt? Not complaining. Though the comic book accessory is just a plastic tile, lol Oh well. Still cool! Slightly shorter than Death's Head but Conan and Kull are a bit taller than him.

It definitely wasn't a mistake, but the effect is subtle. Maybe not worth the effort, idk. It's a bit more noticeable in person.

I had to do a second coat, but here's the re-assembled figure next to Venom from the same 2-pack so you can compare matte spray vs. raw plastic. It definitely looks leagues better for a character who is supposed to be wearing cloth. Btw I used Mr. Super Clear Matt if you want to pick up some.

Since this experiment seems to have been a success, I'll probably do Maximum Series Spider-Man next. That figure looks leagues better when hit with matte spray, from what I've seen online.

MvC Captain America is my first test subject for Mr. Hobby matte spray since I only bought him because he was in a 2-pack with Venom. I forgot to take any before pics, but this figure was really glossy looking prior to being sprayed.
