“You gotta learn AI or get left behind!” is a bit galling given that the entire purpose of AI seems to be to steal our work and fuck our brains and shit up the planet, which is to say, its GOAL is to leave us all behind. That, in order to make its owners rich.

People say 'the work speaks for itself'. Maybe that's true for some things, but it is never true in organizing. You absolutely need to share the work, often and always. There are new people coming of age daily and also most organizing is not visible to most people.

Made someone feel bad at work earlier. We talked about it (thank goodness they came to me to work it out later) but now I can't focus because I feel awful about it. I know I can only change my actions going forward, but guilt is a hell of a distracting feeling for me.

My Dr had me start taking magnesium to help with my intense nightmares and it works surprisingly well. I'm truly shocked. I get a whole night's sleep now without tossing and turning; my mild dreams fade immediately. I'm not left with the feeling that I went through hell overnight when I wake up.

Downside of community care is that people you really don't want to encounter outside of work sometimes end up on your bus, arguing with the driver, clearly intent on getting off at your stop. I'm glad these doors are locked.
