Here's a well-reasoned opinion on the "constructive criticism on fanfic" debate.

Discomfort is not harm. Internalize that. Discomfort is not harm, and if you're made uncomfortable by the work of a total stranger who does not know you exist, you can just process on your own and move on. You do not need to make it anyone's "fault" and no one needs to be "held accountable" for it.
