There's a part of me that's quite jaded due primarily to my work, so I genuinely believed I had lost the capacity to roll out of bed in the morning and be shocked at a headline. I was wrong!

It's very annoying how people want me to work today, and let them update me on things, and ask me for decisions, and demand that I send them back reviewed documents and whatnot. You'd think the holidays were over or something. But my Christmas tree that isn't coming down til March says otherwise.

Really appreciated how thoughtful this piece is. I enjoy the show but it's not lost on me that many of the folks evangelizing the show as a beacon of queer media have literally been homophobic to my face at cons and festivals.
