Travelling down the harbour branch in the 1940s, No.1 "BRIGITTE" hauls a train of loaded vans and open wagons loaded with product from the billiam quarry. Never seeing passengers, the line that ran between houses was never kept free of weeds and made some believe the engine was off on a jolly.

Some echoes of the midland still lingering on.
