Day 8 in Guatemala finished the bottom of the deck forms and structure that will support the bridge as the concrete is poured. Had a good trip, visiting friends and spent some time in a pretty part of the country. Today-Day 9 is travel day. 2 drivers splitting the trip (5.5 hours) to the airport.

Whew, the first hour plus of our travels this morning on dirt roads that were rough enough my watch thinks I've walked 8000 steps, lol.

Help, on the way to the airport. My driver is playing Christian music and another volunteer is humming along.

Day 7 Guatemala. Back to work. Pounded some nails, carried boards, general help to people doing most of the work. On the way back to our hotel was a soccer game on one side of the road and the fans were standing in the road to watch the game. Walked through the area where they repaired the road.

But hey, if you need a break and want to escape for a moment to an old church in Mexico filled with lilies, or a train car one summer in the '90s on the northern Italian coast...
