At school, took a diagnostic test as a check to see how I’m doing as it relates to the bar exam: multiple-choice questions (MPE) covering CivPro/Contracts/Crim Law/Con Law/Torts. Not taking bar until Feb 2028, but today I did a bit better than average. Good to know, & now I’ll just keep moving on

Of the three chili crisps now in my repertoire, I might say this one today is my favorite. Samir Nosrat’s Calabrian chili crisp is sublime and rather spicy; my 1st chili crisp is savory and delicious. This one is tingly and savory and bright and tangy. I’m a man rich in crisps

Tried a new recipe for chili crisp. Using the mandolin for shallots & garlic. Gochugaru pepper flakes , cayenne pepper, cumin & coriander seeds, Sichuan peppercorns! Star anise & a cinnamon stick. Let’s check it out

Cleaned up the remnants of Fort Basil, readying it for the transformation into…Fort Zinnia! We’re going all in for zinnias this spring and summer. Heat loving flowers that do great here, and are among our fav blooms. And the Orangey Idols guard the entrance to MeanCat’s Gardens.
