Days like today, where we put up a bunch of discs that we did ages ago for sale, really is such a thrill to watch. Every order that comes in, you get to see someone’s tastes, and what gets them excited. We get to sell joy to people. A very specific, nerdy joy. How cool is that?

I really have no patience for the "keep watching, it gets good later" style of recommendation. Currently watching Bojack Horseman on a friend's recommendation and not enjoying it. I'm told I need to watch one or two full seasons of a six-season show to discover why people like it.

Something some are misreading about this, is it is not that you cannot critique a work. Write a review. Post on Reddit. Write a Medium article. But do NOT shove your critiques at the artist. Ever. And if you have ideas on how a series SHOULD go... use those ideas to make your own comic That's it

Finished all of the new Malcolm in the Middle earlier. It very easily feels like the best revival I can think of in the past 10+ years. And there are other revivals from 2026 that I've more than enjoyed.

Only watched one episode of the new Malcolm in the Middle so far... Not sure anyone will be shocked it feels like it picks up perfectly... But it is shocking how much better lit & everything is more audible than 99% of film and TV nowadays. You can see & hear shit well.

What defines a movie theater is good programming, good location, and good in-theater experience (and more often than not, you really only get to pick two). The Alamo Drafthouse always had the third point on lockdown. Not anymore.

The Return of the Pink Panther looks as good on 4k disc as the others. Would have been embarrassing if it didn't, considering a boxset of all the 4k Panther Sellers films won a Saturn Award. No set has been solicited for sale as far as I can tell. Looks gorgeous though.

Way overdue but I finally picked this up and I adored it. I'd never heard of the film before (documentary inc explains why) but the trailer really caught my attention. Justin and co outdid themselves on this project. If you like dreamlike, quirky comedies from the 90s/00s you have to try this one!
