This is mostly to point out because a lot of people got deflated when the PS5 physical sales in Japan weren't the sky high number some people imagined, especially when that just isn't how most people buy their games now.

Digimon game sales are mostly not in Japan, and what is in Japan, physical is a small part of. Their post is mostly going "if you can't find it, more copies will show up, but you can go buy digitally now", since the actual number we end up seeing for physical week 1 will be a very small % of total.

They made physical stock roughly in line with their expectations what it would sell physically and were accurate.

If you want to know why I haven't commented much on them reporting that physical stock of Digimon Story: Time Stranger is low in stores for the Switch version, they said the same about the PS5 version in Japan then when we got physical sales info it was basically 20k.
