Random idea - Streets of Rage 99. Work with other players in small groups that get merged as people die until only one remains. Getting kills + participation earn upgrades that help you make it to the end.

Teaching AI literacy. (GenAI is wrong A LOT. And even though people tend to think it saves time, we now have randomized controlled trials that show situations where it takes *more* time even when participants self-report it's saving them time.)

I dislike the growing trend in games that attempt to force players into needing to make time for a game via time contraints. Games to me are something that people choose to play in their spare time, at their own pace.

In case you were wondering why it takes me so long to make video games, it's because my brain acts like this when I'm just trying to study some Japanese before work.

Even though I think I qualify pretty strongly for the "solo dev" category, we don't make games in a bubble. We all stand on the shoulders of each other's work. I invented some algorithms on someone else's game engine that uses APIs someone else made on a PC built using parts that others created.

Alien Isolation meets Battle Royale. 100 Players start on Sevastopol. Between infighting, worker joes and the Alien(s?) players must scavenge the components to be able to repair comms and call the escape shuttle, which only has limited spaces. Seal off regions or open vents to sabotage others.
