By-Election Result analysis: Fort William and Ardnamurchan (2025) An easy Lib Dem victory, albeit with a weaker candidate that saw everyone else but Labour gain support, and a timely reminder of how Reform's support varies across the country.

Very sad to hear the news that part of the Spey Viaduct on the Moray coast collapsed today, in the floods. Rode it a couple of years back while researching for #LostLanesScotland. (it didn't make it into the book in the end, but it's a lovely and much-loved piece of active travel & leisure infra)

Access to e-bikes makes traveling the longer distances in rural communities by bike accessible to more people. Its about being able to access your local shop, school or doctor - in areas where public transport is often poor Not everyone lives in London! #cycletowork
