It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration. But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants. The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

To recap this week: •Trump fires 8 immigration judges •DHS tweets "remigration now,"—an actual Nazi policy •DHS defies court order & deports a 19-year-old college student •Trump regime removes report on Missing & Murdered Indigenous women, calling it "DEI" This is an overt policy of white supremacy

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Launching a new “active investigation” can often become a tool to delay the release of documents. When something is under federal investigation, agencies can claim that releasing certain information might “interfere with the inquiry,” which slows down transparency.

Because people in our area are so basic when ordering Thai food, the crispy garlic chicken at our local spot is $3 more than everything else in that section of the menu. They know you’re gonna order it anyway so may as well make a bit more profit

When scheduling the open enrollment meetings, don’t just schedule it for the time it takes for your presentation. People have questions and those need to have time to be answered, not just follow-up with direct people after the fact.

After leaving muslim countries, Im always struck by how Americans more and more exhibit the fears they claim to have about what they think Islam is. Authoritarianism, lack of movements, beards, ect. Nice cross necklace TIMOTHY.

Wow LAX was not the worst to go through customs and re-do security. They also dont even need our passport when re-entering. They just use the facial recognition that they say is optional and they delete after boarding

This is exactly the same argument — and, in parts, even the same language — that segregationists advanced to argue that white people had a “right” not to live next to people who were different from them.

“Let them go a month without meals. Maybe they will get a job” First, many SNAP recipients have jobs. They’re just living below the poverty line because of tremendous wealth inequality. Second, many are disabled and children and can’t work. Third, no one should starve to death.

So where are the so-called “savings”? The truth is, there are none. Despite the rhetoric, the government is spending more and borrowing faster than at any point in U.S. history, even as critical public services are gutted and oversight is weakened.

Folks, it’s officially chilly season. CHECK ON YOUR CHRONICALLY COLD PEOPLE. Going forth they now require heated blankets, extra thick hoodies, mittens, beanies, thick socks. Carefully swaddle your cold people in flannel, a heavy blanket, & gentle forehead kisses. They will re-emerge in late May.

The Republicans have won votes using a kind of radical authenticity, where they are perceived as saying what they mean (even if it isn’t true). And yet some Dems are still trying to figure out how to say what some imagined swing voters want… rather than finding their own authentic message.
