Overall summary 1. Top level is faster, mistakes are easier to make because you are constantly challenged when not ready. 2. Comps are practical, they need to build around an idea with options to cover when things go wrong. 3. Making decisions faster is often better then making perfect ones slower.

Tried Motion Controls on 3 different games. Donkey Kong. Metriod Prime. Tears of the Kingdom. Input wise it feels EXTREMELY refined. Unsure if its due to the internals of the Switch 2 Pro controller may or may not have a higher polling rate. But it feels better than the old switch and pro con. 👌🏿

Something I’ve been thinking about lately is a lot of times we think of meta comps as the for sure best/strongest comps but I think they’re probably just the “safest” comps and that makes them really appealing for pickup culture. We say we want more teams but then teams just run cookie cutter comps

Something that's been on my mind is I feel like this scene has undervalued and underexplored the utility of having non-player members on teams. I'm talking about things like team managers (NOT the same as captains), dedicated coaches, and more. Not everyone on a team has to be on the active roster
