Boxing was once THE American pastime. Bigger than baseball, football, basketball, bullriding, etc. But gambling wiped out the integrity of the game to the point it only exists as a joke for degenerate gamblers and now that's every sport. Think I'm exaggerating? How's UFC these days? 🤼‍♂️

Just apply this argument to any other show and you see how terrible it is. Breaking Bad/Sopranos/Game of Thrones should try to appeal to the casual viewer instead of its rabid fanbase.

This has been a tough year for "WWE is good at business" folks. Lost NBC as a partner. No deal for NXT ppvs. No U.S. deal for AAA. No one wanted their TNA offer. No one wants their library. And challenging AEW head-to-head exposed their product as dreadfully inferior.

Something that has been rattling in my brain since #AEWBloodandguts is the abundance of memorable talent in #AEW when compared to #WWE. Darby, Cassidy, MJF, Elite, Osprey, Swerve Mox....(list goes on) Will be held in high regard like wrestlers in the Attitude era and prime WCW. #Wrestlesky

It's just a merchandise and promotional agreement. MLSE/Rogers cannot sign exclusively agreements with WWE or else they maybe susceptible to $25 million dollar fines (competition laws).

So when everyone was complaining about the build to AEW B&G … 3 fuckin weeks ago and oh look, it’s been a great build and the matches both feel huge! Meanwhile the Fed announce their wargames team for the weekend on… checks notes… last night. AEW is so far ahead of the Fed in quality… it’s nuts!

Why are we doing this? WWE would or did say no because NJPW is an AEW partner, not Tony Khan. I am begging wrestling fans to be normal & use plain logic for one day. Just one!

Tony Khan saved pro wrestling in the U.S. with AEW. Through AEW partnerships, he helped NJPW survive the pandemic & CMLL fight back against WWE buying AAA. Not to mention letting talent work indy shows globally. The vitriol some fans have for him is insane. Touch grass, get a life, etc.

This is exactly what I said last week. The WWE Universe doesn't understand that AEW has built up trust and credibility with its audience. That's why the PPVs consistently do so well.

Some of these complaints I see about AEW are in "isn't this steak a little too juicy?" territory. Maybe do something else for a bit. You've cooked your brain.

The downturn in WWE... This is what happens when you train your audience & brainwash (possibly partly as propaganda targeting AEW) them to think story is all what matters. When you haven't a great story you risk fans losing interest. AEW has variety and a blend of quality action & story. #aew
