I really wanted to love Wicked for Good but that final act was… something.

That said, the Aladdin remake was complete bullshit and I was genuinely angry walking out of it.

I’m usually way more forgiving to live action Disney remakes than most people are but this teaser was like 99% CGI, which doesn’t do much to justify its existence as a remake of a movie that was 100% CGI.

I figured this out, by the way. The developers behind the SNES version re-used the “FIGHT!” asset from the first game with an added bevel, whereas the Genesis development team used the arcade asset from the second game proper. I’m satisfied with that answer.
