I love how kids can have the longest conversations about random things they're interested in. They can talk for hours about things like rocks & sloths without prompting. I wish schools were designed to cultivate kids' natural curiosity.

The teens and the 18-25 cohort need (subsidized) (in-person) third spaces. Desperately. My generation and the one after have to rethink some of our helicoptering. Yes, I get it, I've indulged in it as an auntie... and... we've got to learn to let go so young people have a sense of autonomy.

Teachers, this works very well in the classroom. I've found it diffuses their anxiety and definitely builds trust, especially with new people.
