I just got paid for last month and it genuinely might be the worst I've ever been paid for a month in this job. I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of interviews but this is going to be a really lean month for me, especially since I'm still paying back a loan from my parents.

The thing about AI is that it ultimately doesn't matter how realistic it gets, or looks, or sounds, or seems - those are all red herrings. The problem at its heart is that nothing it produces comes from a real person, and it therefore has no aesthetic value. That's it. No more needs to be said.

Seeing as Nightshade from Transformers: Earthspark is catching attention again, here's some of the work I did on the character. There was an earlier version of them that had been finalised and approved, but the writers wanted a new alt mode; their earlier disguise was a 'Gargoyle'!

Oh that's cool, the fact they've chosen to go with a straightforward removable chestplate and helmet implies to me they've reinstated the ability of those two parts to combine into a mini-vehicle for the included Dianaut. Plus with Powered Buggy, they're really taking the toy back to its roots!

Skybound's done a lot of cool stuff in the Energon Universe over the last two years, but swear to god, turning the Skuxxoid into a tragic character with actual pathos might be my favourite. Plus the idea behind it comes right from the OG character concept, twisted a new way! Ludicrous! Brilliant!

Lettering is *such* an underappreciated part of comic-making, truly makes or breaks a strip. It remains wild to me how often you see otherwise professional comic productions brought low by awful lettering because they don't deign to either learn how to do it properly or hire a skilled letterer.
