Final thoughts: this is a distinctive, well-articulated figure that looks great, has a fair if complex transformation and has an absolutely wild alt mode(s). And though there are tolerance issues they're largely confined to the base, effects and stands rather then the figure itself.

Okay I'm all caught up on Transformers Skybound (not any of the other Energon Universe stuff) and I will say that of the many, many, many reimaginings of 1984 this might be the best one. Though at times it does slip over the line from "faithful homage" to "greatest hits rerun"

Decided to read that there Skybound Transformers thing. I do like that issue 4 acknowledges that Jazz is canonically a spec ops badass, to the point where he's treated as a tide-turner in the hospital battle.
