like, i don't blame anyone for hating AI. i think that's more than reasonable. this technology is ruining the internet in a variety of ways. i just wish people would think a bit more deeply about the "why, how, and who" rather than just dismissing it outright because it's the popular thing to do.

on a personal level it frustrates me how dismissive people are of AI because this technology is frankly insane. no one seems to think it's even a little cool that we live in a world where you can describe an image and a program will output a realistic depiction of that description within seconds.

i think what frustrates me about the liberal anti-AI people is the fact that there are a lot of very real very terrifying ways in which AI is being used to subjugate people but we all still seem focused on whether AI generated images are "art" as if that's a question that matters in any regard.
