Fontstand have a survey going right now for designers, you fill it out and get a bunch of free fonts from its members! Here's some experiments with some of them—Klim Type’s Maelstrom and Dynamo’s Whyte.

Kagi is like using a search engine when they were good. Instead of slop, summaries, or ads you get links. They give you 100 free searches to try it out then $5 a month after that. (Stumbled across it in a

The bullfrog in a tweed suit whose land I live on, came by to tell me they were busy planting this year's carrots. He proudly told me he still employs two gardeners, as his father did, though "only one maid." He then observed the rising spring sun and said "it's all diminishing."

When everyone is aggrandizing their impact on humanity over drone shots and 3D graphics, the most riveting product announcement will be watching an old man vacuum.

They’re neat, contained digital projects, often with clear inspiration you can channel, and then cherry on top—you get to animate them. They’re very fun to work on.

The people next to me at this coffee shop are talking about switching careers, and one asked if the other would ever go into design. Her response: “Absolutely not. Don’t even ask me that. I would rather live on the fucking street than be a graphic designer." Honestly, valid!

Legendary Japanese illustrator Kazuo Hozumi has passed away at the age of 94. Hozumi was the first Japanese menswear illustrator, most famous for his "Ivy Boy" cartoon character. But he had a huge range and was a very stylish guy himself.

Google is sticking “page annotations”, AKA links, into web pages and it’s opt out only. Man, I’d be so irrationally angry if one of these ugly links fucked up my page design.

In the new Indiana Jones game they made the place names come up on screen in the same type as Raiders' title cards—Open Kapitalen and Eurostile. A really nice detail. (Makes me wish they added a little filmic post-processing too)
